I don’t know about you, but with the eclipse coming up, I for sure, for sure…need some added protection. But, you can use good ol' protection any time of year. So, here’s a simple protection spell for everyone to adapt to their own uses, using all cosmic corner ingredients:
You will need:
A piece of paper and pen
Sage – for protection and cleansing
Lavender – for calm and relaxation
Ashes (I gathered fire place ashes) - old incense ashes will work fine
Method:
Begin by writing your intention down on the piece of paper. Try an affirmation, what you want to be protected from, what you want to be protected, or a homemade protective sigil.
Then, fill a pillar candle holder with ashes or brick dust, ground up lavender, and ground up sage. This is a trick I do to keep my chime candles from falling over in oversized candle holders.
Next, settle your candle into the holder. I dropped my paper with intention in next to the candle, but feel free to burn this at the beginning of the spell or end to activate the intention.
Set the candle aflame, and meditate on your intention or watch the flame to see how it goes.
Personally, I am a fan of meditating and reinstating your intention beside the candle or while watching it for as long as feels right, then staying in the same room and “forgetting” about your spell - I say stay in the same room because after all, it is…fire. Be safe! But, if you need to tidy, or watch a youtube video or two while you wait for the candle to burn down, this is a good time to do so.
Part of manifesting is “forgetting” and releasing your tight grip, and letting the spell do its magick, trusting that what you want will come to you.
